MUTANTS

A sub-race of Humans found in the hilly, desert region of the Eastern Territories, whose ancestors were mutated by radiation during the G’Atruian War and the proceeding civil wars of those states. Though this has resulted in a great deal of infertility, many Mutants are not sterile. Most are all horribly deformed, yet some are gifted with great strength or intellect due to their mutations (or in spite of them). Infant death rates are extremely high and because of this, Mutants are apt to steal human men and women (particularly women) for breeding purposes (to help stabilize their offspring's genes) and also look to bear as many children as possible to ensure the survival of at least a few.

They have found themselves allied with the Kren at times, but they are barely tolerated by them and often find themselves with the short end of the deal, engaging only to placate their neighbors so that they are not wiped out by them.
