THE RATH

As legend has it, they are an ebony-skinned, white haired, blue-eyed, shape-shifting, malevolent race with short, thin tails. Almost nothing is known of them or The Dark Forest where they supposedly originate (few have ventured in and returned). Most denizens of Arcadia don't believe they even exist since very few claim to have ever met a Rath, though those who believe in their existence claim that they use their shape-shifting abilities to infiltrate other Arcadian nations to create chaos and discord. To what end, there is only speculation. Supposedly, some Rath are given the honorific of “rath” at the end of their name (Lord Kalarath, Lord Desarath, etc.)

It is believed that The Rath may be involved with The Order of The Knights of Meraphidia which, much like The Rath themselves, is considered by most to be a legend.
